Jason Joseph – Owner/Head Trainer

Jason Joseph, born and raised in Oakland, CA, has always had a passion for health and fitness. His interest and love for athleticism combined with the sense of team as well as helping others have been the driving factors throughout his life. In the early 90s, Jason strongly committed to physical wellness through weight lifting. His search for the perfect merger of fitness, serving others, plus the feeling of community was realized when Jason found Muay Thai. He began practicing the sport at Pacific Ring Sports in 2005 and also established his own strong personal training program. In Muay Thai, he found the sweet spot between beauty and toughness as well as the artistic and family feel. He grew strong in his practice with the guidance of trainers Mike Reignier, Coke Chunhawat and De Pooler. He was fortunate as he had the pleasure to work alongside and to learn from Ganyo Arunleun, the driving force behind Fairtex Muay Thai Gym, and Roberto Garcia, former Filipino boxing champion who has also coached many champions himself. Jason loves what he does, and it is evident from the first moment you meet him. He is incredibly devoted, positive, helpful and approaches all he meets with a smile. He takes his students' and clients' fitness seriously. He caters his personal training to the client's desires, whether it be boxing, Muay Thai or strength and conditioning focused. His Muay Thai classes are perfect for any level as Jason's 17+ years of experience have given him the skills to support and challenge anyone. He coaches through strong modeling and clear communication. He fosters relationships and a deep sense of community in his classes so that all people know that they belong. Jason brings so much positivity to his classes and personal training, that you will not only be sweating and getting stronger, but also be smiling while pushing yourself to the limit. Jason recognizes that everyone comes with a desire in their mind to be better and his mission is to take people even higher than they imagined.
